Mandar Oak2025-01-15 Excellant location. Very scenic in Winter. Try to visit K2 cabin area at sunset for best view. Date fort and Dhareshwar mandir are must visit spots which are nearby. Roshan guided us to all these locations and he is very humble guy. Tristan Fernandes2024-12-22 Rustic, raw and rugged. Yet, amenities like 24/7 hotwater thanks to the geyser, 24/7 electricity power supply, clean and tidy rooms. That's how I would describe the cabins that I stayed in. And for the star of the show, the location, the view, the service of the caretaker. Let me elaborate...... This is in the midst of a Tiger Reserve, overlooking the Koyna river. You might not see them, but they probably can sense you....Leopards, Tigers and the spirits of the forest ;) The view here is unmatched. Tranquil and Serene, yet isolated and desolate. Perfect solitary winter eve for a solo biker like me to unwind. Food prepared here was tasty and delicious. Communication with the owner through Booking.com was smooth. Lastly, the caretaker Roshan was extremely helpful, polite and everready to tend to your needs be it food, tea, checking up from time to time. The real star of the place! This place is beautiful. I feel lucky to have been here! John Fermor2024-09-16 Great place! Unique to have such amazing views from the doorstep of your cabin. Wonderfully peaceful and quiet. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly & helpful. Easy to explore Dategad Fort, Sajjangad Fort and Thosegar waterfalls, all nearby. Shaif Ali2024-07-02 A Peaceful Retreat in Nature's Embrace Rating: 4/5 The review is late by worth. I had the pleasure of staying at Backwater Cabins in Satara, and while the location may be a bit far from the city, the serene surroundings and excellent amenities made it well worth the journey. The container houses were cozy and comfortable, with elegant designs that blended seamlessly into the natural environment. The on-site restaurant served delicious local cuisine, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The real highlight, however, was the stunning 180-degree view of the Koyna Backwaters from the cabins. It was a treat to wake up to the sounds of birds chirping and spend the day cycling, fishing, or simply taking in the breathtaking views. While the location may be a bit remote, the tranquility and beauty of the surroundings made it an ideal getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. I would highly recommend Backwater Cabins to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat in nature's embrace. Jordan2024-06-18 The property is excellent for nature lovers. There is serenity in nature which brings calmness in you.Sunsets are must to watch. We went on Sharad Poornima.. and saw reflection of moon in backwaters.
